Movir is a leading income insurer in the Netherlands! As a Mid-level UX Designer at Movir, you will contribute to optimizing our extensive digital services in the field of disability insurance.
At Movir, we work in three chains: becoming a customer, being a customer, and reintegration. These chains enable us to implement changes more quickly and ensure focus. This vacancy is specifically for our "Becoming a Customer" chain.
Ensuring the optimal user experience for our customers: that’s your mission. Together with your colleagues, you use your UX design skills to quickly turn customer problems into solid proposals for improvement which address both customers and business needs!
What you are going to do
As a Mid-level UX Designer at Movir, you will be responsible for shaping the very first impression our customers have of us. You are the creator of our digital business card: the first touchpoint in the customer journey. That’s why customer-friendliness and seamless, intuitive processes are absolutely essential. You will help the chain by designing and optimizing user-friendly processes and interfaces for both internal systems and customer-facing applications.
You’ll be helping your team in solving real customer problems by ensuring the full UX design process is applied, from discovery to validation. It goes without saying you will:
- Execute parts of the UX research and utilize insights so we can turn problems into validated solutions
- Help facilitate workshops and creative sessions (like a Design Sprint)
- Design and iterate on wireframes and interactive prototypes, using (or even contributing to) the NN Design System
- Apart from your responsibilities in the team, you participate in the NN Design Guild

Who you are
You’re someone that looks for collaboration and likes contributing to shared objectives. You see opportunities to realize improvements and are able to persuade your stakeholders with arguments and energy. It goes without saying you bring:
- A relevant bachelor or master degree
- 5+ years of UX Design experience in an Agile setting
- Experience with applying your user research, information architecture, and (mobile) interaction design skills
- Experience with ideation techniques, facilitating creative sessions, and co-creating with other colleagues to create shared ownership of designs
- Experience with modern design and prototyping tools, particularly Figma (Enterprise)
- Experience with the Outsystems platform is a plus
- Good proficiency in Dutch (C2-level)
Who you will work with
Movir is part of NN Schade & Inkomen and is located in Nieuwegein. Within the chain, you will work with the Empowered Product Team, which includes colleagues from both the business and our IT department. Primarily, you will be part of the IT department where our Scrum teams also work. You will closely collaborate with the chain lead, the product owner, the "Becoming a Customer" scrum team, and the business, ensuring regular alignment with various stakeholders. Each chain has its own UX designer whom you can always reach out to.
At NN we work hybrid. We combine working from home and working in the office. Teams can meet online or in person. You and your team agree on what suits you best. We have set up our offices in such a way that there is a suitable place for every type of work. The official location for this job is Nieuwegein.
As designer, you closely collaborate with the Design System team. This allows you to spend more time on solving real customer problems and applying the full UX design process.
Outside the team, you’re a member of the NN Design Guild. With over 50 designers from all corners of the company, we discuss our craft and make sure we keep learning and developing together. All designers get together on a regular basis for knowledge sharing, inspiration sessions, and co-creation. This way, we always have creative minds to spar with. And have drinks with of course!
