You are the specialist for Policy Management at ASN Bank in Utrecht. Sharing knowledge, overseeing the policy cycle and bringing the policy framework to a higher level. We are recruiting for two positions; on medior and senior level.
What will you do?
As a Risk Governance and Policy specialist. you are responsible to oversee and maintain a robust, consistent, and bank-wide Policy Management Framework aligned with regulatory requirements, internal governance, and industry best practices.
Your responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a bank-wide policy governance framework, including standards, templates, and lifecycle management processes.
- Oversee and validate the consistency, alignment, and integration of policies across all departments.
- Oversee policy implementation and provide reporting to management committees.
- Define and maintain a centralized Policy Inventory and classification structure.
- Coordinate the policy approval process across committees, senior management, and the Board.
- Establish timelines and controls for policy reviews, updates, and version control.
- Monitor compliance with policy governance processes.
- Provide guidance and training to policy owners and authors across the bank.
- Support regulatory inspections and internal/external audits related to policy governance.
This is where you’ll work
You will become part of the Risk Governance & Policy office within the Enterprise Risk Management team: a club of passionate risk specialists. You report to the Director Enterprise Risk Management.
Your qualities
We are building a stronger Risk Management Framework within the Bank and a looking for new colleagues that would like to be part of this transformation into. You have a proven record in policy framework development and implementation and the capability to write documents of various level of detail and complexity.
You also have:
For the senior role:
- A completed Master’s degree in Management, Finance, Law, or similar study; additional writing training is a preference.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in risk management or second line roles in regulated financial institutions with operational, prudential, compliance and regulatory risk expertise.
- Strong knowledge of the Three lines model, ERM methodology and European regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, ECB/DFSA guidelines, local supervisory regulations)
For the medior role:
- A completed Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Law, or similar study;
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in risk management or second line roles in regulated financial institutions
And further:
- Good communication skill at all levels within the organization and with external stakeholders
- Ability to quickly understand, analyse and explain complex topics
- Positive, innovative and enthusiastic
This is what you get from us
The senior position is in scale 11 with a salary range between €5.729,37 - and €7.639,16 - gross monthly, based on a 36 hour workweek. The medior position in scale 10 with a salary range between €4990,82 - and €6654,42 gross monthly, based on a 36 hour workweek
